About Us

Devana Candles was born from a passion for candles and everything about home fragrances. Why? Because we believe a lot about self-care and taking care of our mental health.

Lighting up a beautifully scented candle can be a powerful stimulant for mental well-being. For a long time candles has helped us relax and regroup after a long day, and we want to share this love with you. Because you deserve it.

Each Devana candle is lovingly made in small batches and hand poured right here in Brisbane, Australia to deliver the best quality candles.

Our candles are made using only premium grade fragrances with essential oils, specially curated for candles. They are non-toxic, do not contain palm oil and are completely vegan and cruelty free. We promise to never use additives, phthalates, dyes or preservatives.

We use 100% pure soy wax

One of the best qualities of soy wax is that it burns CLEAN. It is derived from a natural vegetable oil from soy beans and therefore a plant based and eco-friendly alternative to your usual candles. They are a completely natural and renewable resource that are free of toxins, carcinogens, petroleum and pollutants. It is not only carbon-neutral but also produces 90% less soot than paraffin candles.

We choose Wood Wicks

As a natural alternative (lead and zinc free) we absolutely love wooden wicks for more than enough reasons! They create a beautiful crackling sound and give a better scent throw than cotton wicks. This is because wood wicks burn slower and smolders which helps warm the wax instead of burning it. They also create a horizontal flame, this throws more heat into your candle quicker even if it burns slower and therefore the scent throw will fill your room quicker.
